Underappreciated Artists Pt. 2

In this weeks blog, I will be going along with the narrative of underappreciated artists, and show you my top picks who follow under that category. My first artist is The Kid Laori. He definitely classifies as a mainstream artist, so that is not why I would say he is underappreciated. It's because of the constant hate and backlash he gets. Saying that "he repeats the same flows", "all his songs sound the same", or "He makes songs just to go big on Tik Tok", for seemingly in my eyes, no reason. The Kid Laroi is the perfect "relate to" artist, first breaking onto the industry with Let Her Go. This song became extremely relevant, and present on many playlists. With this song he then created a hit song with Lil Tecca, named Diva. These hits put him onto the scene, leading to his hit albums such as Savage and F*ck Love 3 The Kid Laroi stays prevelant in my playlists and love for music, and continues to create amazing songs and features. The hate he receives is with no purpose and is not true to who he is as an artist. I saw him in concert, and his feelings and appreciation for his fans, and how the audience knew all of the words, will surely make me a life long fan. Certain songs I recommend to give a listen are Without You and Thousand Miles
My Next underappreciated artist is Dermot Kennedy. He is a acoustic/pop artist from Ireland. Who writes and sings his music through passionate experiences and thoughts about love and moving on. The first song that I heard from him, and almost instantly fell in love with is A Closeness. This song is utterly beautiful, along with all of his other songs. My personal favorite is An Evening I Will Not Forget. This song is apart of his biggest album Without Fear. From top to bottom this album and song will have no trouble putting you in your feels. One thing that separates Dermot Kennedy from other artists, is he will go out on the streets of anywhere, and just start playing his music.. for FREE. Busking is something you don't quite see in recent music, but this does not apply. About 1 month ago, Kennedy was scene Busking up in Boston. Again, completely free, and fans can sing their heart out with him.

My last artist is Benson Boone. He appeared on American Idol in 2021. He extremely interests me and helps me realize how social media is changing people lives. As Boone became known off of Tik Tok and not off of his American Idol entry. He releases videos and snippets of him singing or showing off his vocal range. Actually, his first hit song came off of Tik Tok. As he released a snippet of his song Ghost Town on the Platform. Fans flooded the comments asking him to release the full song, and surely as he did, it became his first hit. With only 197K subscribers on Youtube, Benson Boone is not the "Huge" artist he can be, because of word of mouth, meaning he just hasn't been vastly discovered yet. Have my word, when he is found he will become a household name. After Ghost Town, Boone came out with his album Walk Me Home... Having my personal favorites and suggestions to listen to; Work of Art and Let Me Go

I hope you were intrigued by my artists, and would love for you to give all these songs a heartfelt listen!
